It only took a little under eight years, but Luther College finally Came through. Earlier this month when Luther was here for a basketball doubleheader, my former boss Dave Blanchard and athletics director Joe Thompson presented me with a collegiate letter. I’m pretty sure it had nothing to do with my feeble contribution to the baseball team back in 1999 (but I did score two runs against Brevard!).

The game was broadcast on the student television station. With help from my friend Ryan, we threw the presentation up on Youtube. I thought some of you might be interested in looking at it

I was totally caught off guard. I had no idea it was coming. I feel incredibly honored to receive this letter. I have a tremendous amount of pride when it comes to my alma mater. The four years that I spent there were absolutely incredible. The classes, the campus, the radio station, the athletics, the music program, the endless opportunities, and most importantly the people made the time I was there truly memorable. To be recognized by such a great institution is very humbling.

So with pride, I will tell you the “L” stands for:

L-U. L-U. L-U-T-H. L-U-T-H-E-R

LUTHER
