Ah, so it has been a while. I am sure like the rest of you, we have been busy with family over the holiday. It’s not letting up any time soon either as tomorrow we are leaving for Wisconsin to ring in the new year with my in-laws
on Saturday, we went to my hometown of Menno, South Dakota for the baptism of our new god child Eva. Ann has posted some photographs from the day in our photo gallery if you would like to check them out. Eva is the daughter of my sister penny and brother-in-law Kurt. They are from Arizona and Saturday was the first time that we met Eva, literally two minutes before the service. It was a little hard to look at the minister when the only thing we wanted to do was play with our new niece!
We had to come home that night because Ann was on call at the hospital on Sunday. Fortunately, she was not called in and we had a nice Christmas Eve with just the two of us. After sleeping in and watching a ton of football, we went to an early candlelight service. We were even home in time to watch the end of the Broncos win
. We exchanged presents, had a fabulous dinner, and watched a movie. It was the quiet intermission between two busy days with my family
Monday, we drove to Sioux Falls for Christmas dinner at my sister Kim’S house. My parents, siblings, their spouses and their children were all there. Now if that were the group of people who got together on Ann’s side of the family, it would account for seven people. You know, a nice modest gathering. But on my side of the family, it accounts for 21 people! So the house was spilling over with activity. Unfortunately, Eva was not feeling real well as she had more food come up then stayed down. But you all know me, that did not affect my appetite! I kept Shoveling down the meal which was amazingly delicious. I just wish there had been enough food. Just kidding Kim
the last two days I have basically been hanging around the house, and watching a lot of television with Kurt while Ann has been working in order to allow us to pay off our holiday credit card debt. Thanks honey!
I’m not sure how much I will be posting while we are away because I will actually have work to do while I am at the computer. Just wanted to give you an update. Tonight I will be watching the Emerald Bowl. Man I love to watch Florida State suffer
